Going to Japan - 1st Stop Office Depot!

Yes, you heard me. Office Depot. That mecca of office supplies and technological gadgetry. Why? Because we’re going to make a list. And not just any list!

I’m no guru when it comes to being highly organized but I’m pretty good at it, especially when there’s a definitive need for it. Going to Japan requires more than a bit of coordination and methodology, so a quick trip to an office supply store is more in order than you might at first think.

So why, exactly, am I sending you to an office supply store? To get a folder. Yep, a folder. Not your every day, run of the mill folder. Preferably one with pockets to hold printed information, as well as a place for a notepad (be it a legal pad or just some notebook paper).

My "Japan Trip Notebook" ...so kawaii (cute) !!!

Get something good. For us girls, cute but functional is the way to go. For you guys, anything will probably do, but I’m picturing something sleek and masculine (or whatever, I’m easy).

So, go get your folder.  Become one with your folder.  BE the folder (just kidding).

But now that you’ve picked your folder out, get to a quiet place and hold it tightly in your hands.  Look at it straight on and realize that over the next passage of time, this folder will contain everything you need to make your trip to Japan a success.  Yes, people.  This is your “Japan Trip File”.  While it may not seem that important now, and the significance might not be that great to you, over the next few days, weeks or months, you will accumulate a lot of information on Japan.  Where to go, when to go, how to go, what to eat, what to do, etc, etc.  How absolutely wonderful and convenient it will be to be able to locate any piece of information you want or need, by going to just one place.

So, the lesson here?  Get organized!  Be absolutely organized before you leave.  If you have already achieved organizational greatness, if organization is a dominant trait in you, AWESOME!!!  If not, then let’s get some organizational skills going right now and all will pay off in the end.

Now, go hug your “Japan Trip File” one more time and then put it in a place where you can find it the next time you need it.
