The Frugal Frolic to Japan: Developing a Budget-Conscious Mindset

The key to traveliing to Japan is to do it in such a way as to thoroughly enjoy new destinations, refreshing discoveries, beautiful culture and exciting adventure without placing yourself in a situation of never-ending debt once you come home. All sorts of short-cuts exist when traveling but it takes some time and effort to research and find out the how-to’s of obtaining some awesome travel bargains.

Over the course of the next several days/weeks we’ll start taking a look at some websites that may prove useful in planning a trip to Japan on a frugal budget. In the meantime, there are some great tips contained in this article from the New York Times (online) entitled “Research: The Traveler’s Best Friend”.

So, break out your Japan Trip File, head on over to The New York Times Online and be prepared to take a few notes.
